Nested in a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and thriving tourism, UNY beckons students and visitors from across the globe, fostering valuable and enriching cross-cultural interactions.UNY has had the privilege of hosting nearly 500 international students, both short-term and long-term, who have chosen Yogyakarta as their destination for academic pursuits. They come to explore a diverse range of subjects, from Bahasa Indonesia and Javanese language studies, to Sports, Education, Educational Management, and the vibrant world of Indonesian Arts, encompassing dance, music, sculpture, batik, and ceramics. UNY stands as one of the select institutions welcoming Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship recipients, and since 2016, we have proudly offered the UNY Distinguished International Student Scholarship (UNY-DISS) for full-degree programs.In addition to our academic endeavors, UNY shines as a beacon of environmental responsibility and sustainability, ranked 17th in the prestigious GreenMetric Indonesia University Ranking. Our commitment to a healthy and green campus demonstrates our dedication to a better world.At UNY, we firmly believe that students should receive ample opportunities for international exposure and experiences. Therefore, we actively encourage our students to broaden their horizons and cultivate a global perspective. This can be achieved through teaching practicums, engaging in short courses, participating in international seminars and conferences, and contributing to esteemed international publications.
