Zhejiang University of Technology

Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) was established in 1953. The history of the University can be traced back to 1910 when the Zhejiang Intermediate School of Technology was first founded. ZJUT is a comprehensive research-intensive university co-supported by Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education of China. It is within top 100 rankings among 2,900+ universities nationwide.
Situated in Hangzhou a picturesque historical and cultural city in east China, ZJUT consists of three campuses, Zhaohui, Pingfeng and Moganshan. It is home to 3425 faculty members, including 2522 academic staff, 4 academicians of China Academy of Engineering. ZJUT is organized across 27 schools, which provide 66 undergraduate programs and 197 postgraduate programs (including 151 Master and 46 Doctoral programs). There are 35,500 full time students, 36% of whom are postgraduate students.
Driven by the national innovation strategy and the local engagement for social and economic development,ZJUT is rooted its research in the region. Research funding from government and industry is amounted to CNY1.107 billion in 2022. Nine disciplines are in the top 1% of global ESI, of which two disciplines, chemistry and engineering, are in the top 1‰ of global ESI. ZJUT is in the 311th position among ESI engineering school rankings in the world, and 54th in mainland China.
With a cohort of 1041 international students bringing the cultural diversity to the University community, ZJUT is also committed to extend its global network and has established interscholastic partnerships with 100+ universities from 30+ countries, and among them are 80 students exchange partners, annually over 800 students study abroad via mobility programs.
