Whistler Adventure School - Study & Work in Canada

Attention all adventure seekers!

Whistler Adventure School (WAS) is an accredited Post-Secondary school located in Whistler, BC, Canada - approximately 1.5 hours north of Vancouver. WAS offers a non-traditional learning setting, focused on getting outside the classroom to experience hands-on learning in small & interactive classes. All programs are taught by leading industry professionals and certified Mountain Guides.  WAS students learn from the best in the field - passionate, professional & knowledgeable Faculty.  The minimum age is 18 + and there is no upper age limit. (All adults welcome)

Location

Whistler is a unique setting and an international hub for diversity, activities and cultural richness, surrounded by mountains, forests, lakes and rivers. Whistler is the number one ski and bike resort in North America, hosting amazing winter and summer activities, festivals, arts and culture.

Work and Internship opportunities

International students studying a 6+ month or 1-year program will enter Canada on a study permit which allows them to work as well while enjoying the Whistler lifestyle of skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, and living close to nature. Some programs also include paid Co-op work (Internship) components with additional work allowance.

Whistler Adventure School offers unrivaled opportunities for students to put their newly learned skills to the test in a working environment with some of the best adventure tourism companies in the industry. This is the perfect chance to gain confidence and progress from a student to joining a team or starting your own business. With a co-op coordinator to guide students, students will be responsible for finalizing their placements that best align with their program, interests and program curriculum.
