They help us review what we teach and how we teach it – and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships, or paid placements.
In addition to excellent academic teaching, we also give you lots of opportunities to have fun, make friends and get experience outside of the classroom. You might be interested in attending some of our fantastic social events, volunteering or working for us. You could also join one of our societies, which range from alternative music to creative writing, and Harry Potter to Pokemon. We have course-specific societies too, where you can meet people who are studying similar subjects to you. Any student can join a society, and new members are always welcomed. If we don’t have the society you’re looking for, you can start your own.
At ARU we have a wide range of sports clubs, and we offer several sport scholarships. You can choose from basketball, football and volleyball to archery, judo, and fencing.
We know that undertaking a degree course is a big commitment in lots of ways – including financially. We have developed a range of scholarships and bursaries to make this easier for some of our most talented students.
