The health sciences bachelor programme (in English) is the foundation for further studies to become a medical doctor. Learning in small groups with personal in-depth support and much practical experience are major features at KL. A network of university hospitals in St. Poelten, Krems and Tulln provide students with quality-assured, research-led education.The bachelor programme gives students the skills they need to enter new, cutting-edge health professions and forms the basis of medical expertise.
The human medicine master programme (in German) builds on the health sciences bachelor degree. Besides offering the scientific training required to enter the medical profession, the programme is geared towards providing the core competencies for medical experts. On completing their degree, graduates receive the academic title of doctor of medicine (Dr. med. univ.), which is valid throughout Europe.
The psychology bachelor programme (in German) combines psychological and psychosocial applications on the basis of scientific practice. Students are introduced to the basic principles of empirical research and develop basic knowledge of all key areas of psychology including developmental and social psychology. Students who sucessfully complete the psychology bachelor programme are guaranteed a place on the university's planned psychology master programme.
